Wilcot is a small village of about 50 houses, 1.5 miles from the town of Pewsey in the wonderful Vale of Pewsey.  In the centre of the village is the village green, beautifully looked after and well used by the villagers. Surrounding the green are delightful houses, built from the mid 18th to the early 19th centuries, some roofed with thatch and some with slate.  In 2006 Wilcot won the Best Kept Small Village in Wiltshire Award.

The Kennet and Avon canal runs across the northern side of the village. Holy Cross church is situated at the western side of Wilcot, at the end of the lane that starts at the Golden Swan pub and is, not
surprisingly, signposted  ’To the Church’.

Wilcot church, together with Oare and Huish, belongs to a cluster of churches, within the Pewsey & Swanborough Team. Joint Cluster services are held on the major festivals. At Holy Cross we meet fortnightly on Sunday at 10.30am and are a small group of friendly people.

If you are travelling on the canal, visiting the area or live locally we would be very pleased to see you at our services; or, if you are not here on Sunday, feel free to drop into the church anytime for some peace & quiet.
